This is a dynamic list of the most common and important questions about the game. It will be updated regularly to reflect new releases and address new questions as they arise.
Q: I need a refresher on the gameplay / combat mechanics
A: Talk to the screen in Tiana’s room! It contains notes on all the mechanics in the game
Q: I’m confused about the bosses’ special mechanics
- Overflowing abundance: The boss gains benefits when it and your own pokemon are full health. Notably, it raises its own stats based on the number of full health mons at the end of a turn
- The Lost Archipelago: The boss applies a special status which lowers all stats by 1 stage. It also gains benefits based on the amount of stat drops
- The Original Sinner: The boss can banish your pokemon. A banished pokemon cannot be sent out. On phase change, it will release all banished pokemon
Q: What are the Planned future updates:
- Balancing, the goal is that each Affinity should be usable, and every boss beatable
- More Affinities, for example teams built around terrains
- More Sub-bosses (which means more abilities available tothe player)
- More Final Bosses
Q: Which pokemon are available?
- Sun: Torkoal, Solrock, Sunflora, Tropius, Leafeon, Heliolisk, Chandelure, Florges, Tauros-Paldea-Blaze
- Rain: Politoed, Bronzong, Maractus, Kingdra, Basculegion, Overqwil, Archaludon, Whiscash, Kilowattrel
- Sand: Gigalith, Sandaconda, Sandy Shocks, Omastar, Dracozolt, Steelix, Gastrodon, Mandibuzz, Palossand
- Snow: Abomasnow, Lunatone, Froslass, Escavalier, Glaceon, Diancie, Walrein, Empoleon, Sneasler
Q: Is mimikyu a playable pokemon in this game? Asking since my gf always plays with mimikyu xD
A: no, he’s not in the pool of player units
Q: I’ve beaten the first story. Is there any meta progression between story victories? Or is all progression confined to individual runs?
A: Not at the moment, both gameplay and overworld story are mostly self-contained
Q: Are saves compatible between updates
A: Yes! After patching a new version, simply replace the old .gba file in your folder with the newly updated one. Alternatively, you can copy the .sav file into a new folder where you have the 'gba file
